Odell Beckham Jr. has finally signed for a team, and it’s not what everyone else thought. In a sudden change of events, the Super Bowl-winning WR joined the Baltimore Ravens for a 1-year deal.

OBJ was looking for a team for several months now but couldn’t come to terms with any team in the NFL. However, it seems like the Ravens have given in to his demands and offered him an $18 million contract with $15 million guaranteed and $3 million as added incentives.

This makes Odell one of the highest-earning WRs in the league. The Ravens have come under massive scrutiny recently for signing OBJ with a massive contract and not giving Lamar Jackson his due diligence.

Many in the NFL world also believe that the 30-year-old WR will be a flop as he has not completely recovered from his ACL nightmare and is currently injury prone. Regardless, former NFL DE Marcus Spears believes that OBJ can turn out to be a great signing for the Ravens. Spears recently featured on ‘Get up on ESPN’ and spoke about the positives of Odell Beckham Jr. joining the Ravens.

According to Spears, OBJ is a big game player who thrives in big matches. He is known to create magic when the team needs it the most and was on his way to winning the Super Bowl MVP with the Rams but suffered a brutal injury. The only concern that Odell has, is his health.

Odell Beckham Jr. has the best opportunity to get a long-term deal with the Ravens

Lamar Jackson is one of the most prolific QBs in the league. The 26-year-old QB was playing in a league that lacked a quality QB. However, with the arrival of Odell Beckham Jr. things have taken a sudden shift and maybe Jackson will look to settle with the Ravens.

On the other hand, Odell also has the opportunity to get a long-term deal with the Ravens by performing exceptionally in his first season with them. This won’t be hard as he has all the ammunition he needs in Jackson.

Marcus Spears also believes that OBJ could be the first Ravens QB to make it to the Pro Bowl in a long-time and that can help him secure a long-term deal.

Odell Beckham Jr. is a magical WR who performs extraordinary feats during games. It will be exhilarating to watch him on the field again as the Super Bowl winner has many critics to prove wrong to.
