“Shut the hell up,” Marcus Spears SHREDS Stephen A. Smith for his harsh pregame take as the Cowboys win their first road playoff game in 26 years
Stephen A. Smith was torn apart by Marcus Spears as the former told Dak Prescott's dad that his son would go down in the wild card game.

The Dallas Cowboys winning the wild card game hurt Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their fans along with one specific ESPN analyst – Stephen A. Smith. Lifelong Cowboys hater Smith was absolutely crushed as Dak Prescott–led Dallas was able to defeat Tom Brady and the Bucs.
Smith was heavily trolled for his harsh take on the Dallas Cowboys prior to the wild-card matchup. “Let me tell you something right now, Dak Prescott is throwing two interceptions tonight,” said Smith on First Take. “It’s gonna be a thriller but th… and the Dallas Cowboys are actually gonna have the lead but they gonna give the ball back to Tom Brady with too much time left. It’s gonna be 29-24 with under two minutes left and Tom Brady is gonna be the surgeon that he is, dissecting America’s team, showing the world, the fraudulence of this franchise,” he continued.
This really did not age well for Stephen A. Smith, as the Cowboys obliterated Tampa Bay. The defense was way too good the entire game as they managed to shutout Tom Brady completely in the first half of the game, his 2001 AFC divisional playoffs against the Raiders.
Stephen A. Smith can’t get a word in edge-wise after beating against the Cowboys
Former NFL player turned analyst Marcus Spears tore Stephen A. Smith a new one for his pregame take on the Cowboys. “Shut the hell up,” Spears said on First Take. “This man looked at Dak Prescott daddy and told this man he was gonna throw two interceptions. It did not happen, ain’t no logo we can’t win a playoff game on the road. The Dallas Cowboys won a road playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when Stephen A. said they had no chance and yeah that’s what you said.”
Smith’s take on Dak Prescott stemmed from a real fact and not just his blind hatred for the team. The quarterback had thrown his career-high 15 interceptions in the regular season and judging by his performance in the Week 18 game against the Commanders, it was justified of Smith to say what he said. But Prescott shut every criticizing mouth with his exceptional performance. He was surgical, accurate, and stoic under pressure. To say in a single word, he played exactly how Tom Brady should’ve played, but didn’t. It seemed like a “Freaky Friday” accident.
The Cowboys really did a number on Brady and the Bucs as they registered an easy 31-14 win. Dallas’ owner Jerry Jones is pretty confident after just one victory in the playoffs. He said that he thinks the Cowboys can make it all the win and win the Super Bowl this year. The Cowboys were a good team this season but you can never trust them because in one game they might dominate and win and in the next, they will lose in the most shameful way possible.
Moreover, the 49ers are on a hot streak of 11 straight wins including the wild card game against Seattle, and with Brock Purdy under center, they almost look invincible. The Cowboys have a monumental task ahead of them on Sunday as they travel to Levi’s Stadium to get one step close to starting in the Super Bowl.
