Looks like there’s a new update in the Dallas car crash case. Something that has got the fans fired up at Rashee Rice. 

Ever since the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver fled the scene of the accident in Dallas after crashing his car, he had been facing serious repercussions as he was caught on camera doing so. Unfortunately, the receiver now faces confrontation with another allegation as the police have found some amount of marijuana in the Lamborghini, which he admitted driving. 

As reported by Dov Kleiman, the Dallas Police obtained 10.8 grams of marijuana in the Lamborghini, which the Chiefs’ Rice was driving at the time of the accident– making his case a state jail felony amount in the state of Texas.

Last Monday, the Chiefs’ winning receiver being the prime suspect in an investigation concerning a serious car crash in Dallas, caused by a race between a Lamborghini and a Corvette, became public knowledge. The crash injured four people after involving four other vehicles. 

After fleeing the scene, Rice had been wanted by Dallas Police until recently when he came forward with his confession, followed by a public apology. The receiver sat down with the police to take “full responsibility” for his involvement in the car wreck, injuring four people.

As per Texas state law, possessing less than four ounces of drugs qualifies for a Class B misdemeanor. However, it can be classified as a felony if it is found the accused was trying to sell it. The discovery of such behavior from a Super Bowl champion has made the netizens more furious at the receiver. Not that they weren’t already raging at him for his careless and irresponsible behavior.

One fan wrote, “NFL wide receivers love to ruin their life when they have crazy potential,” while another wrote, “Unacceptable. Throw him in prison!” Here are some more fan reactions: 

It appears football fans aren’t convinced by Rice’s apology and want serious action against him. On the contrary, some also came in his defense saying possessing such an amount does not qualify as a felony. It will be interesting to see if Rashee ever wins over fans’ support.
