The Las Vegas Raiders have sent shockwaves through the NFL by firing their Head Coach Josh McDaniels, General Manager Dave Ziegler, and Offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi after a poor showing by the team 8-weeks into the season. ESPN’s Mike Greenberg called out the team’s owner Mark Davis for having turned the team into the butt of all jokes in the NFL.
Greenberg shared his thoughts regarding the Raiders situation on ESPN’s Get Up, here’s what he had to say:
Never go to the Raiders if you're looking for stability.Mike Greenberg on ESPN’s Get Up
In order to justify his comment, the analyst pointed out the track record of the Las Vegas Raiders under Mark Davis. Since he took over in 2011 from his late father Al Davis, the team has hired and fired 8 Head Coaches with Josh McDaniels being the 8th.

Mike Greenberg goes on to add:
Let's face it, Mark Davis has turned the Raiders into a laughing stock and a circus.
He pointed out the setbacks faced by the team in recent years when it comes to their coaching. The Raiders have not been able to find a stable Head Coach as none of them has been a good fit for the team. However, after Jon Gruden resigned from the team in October of 2021, an unexpected miracle blessed the Raiders.
Mike Greenberg bashes Mark Davis for mismanaging the Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders appointed Rich Bisaccia as their assistant Head Coach and coordinator of special teams in 2018. He took over the post of interim HC from Jon Gruden and performed better than most had expected. After he took over, the team went 7-5 and even managed to make the playoffs for the second time since 2002. However, Mark Davis opted to find a new Head Coach and brought in Josh McDaniels despite players and other coaching staff vouching for Bisaccia.

Mike Greenberg pointed out that Rich Bissacia was the man who helped the Raiders get through a rough period when Gruden was under flak from the entire NFL over allegations of racism, during this time, the Raiders’ top wideout prospect Henry Ruggs III had also found himself in the midst of legal trouble after he was involved in a drunken driving crash that resulted in the death of a woman and her dog in Las Vegas.

Despite all this, Davis decided to get rid of Bisaccia for Josh McDaniels who was not able to work well with Derek Carr. McDaniels also ended up revamping the team’s roster and last season decided to get rid of the team’s quarterback because he was not able to get things going with him. Greeny concludes by stating:
The lesson to be taken from all this is some organizations just can't get it right because the person who cannot be replaced doesn't know what he's doing.
The analyst pins the blame on Mark Davis and calls him out for being the root cause of the Las Vegas Raiders struggles.
