Russell Wilson is one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. However, it seems like the talented quarterback is strictly business when it comes to relationships with teammates off the field. And now, one of his greatest teammates, Marshawn Lynch has disclosed his bitter off-field relationship with Wilson during their time together while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.
During a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast “Club Shay Shay,” the former Denver Broncos tried to learn more about Marshawn Lynch’s relationship with Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll off-the-field.
“I wouldn’t be the right person to speak on their relationship because I didn’t f**k with them,” Lynch said. “I didn’t f**k with (Seahawks head coach) Pete (Carroll), and then, I mean, Russ was just a quarterback for me.”
Lynch then went on to reveal he never had any relationship with his quarterback Russell Wilson despite playing together for 5 years. Their relationship is strictly business-related and nothing more.
“I respect Russell as a player and as a teammate. . . Anything that I say is gonna come off as malice or as if I’m a hater. I’ll take Russell, and I’ll put him right there at quarterback, and I’ll rock with him because I have done that,” Lynch added. “But as far as anything else, no, there’s no, you can’t pick up the phone and call ol’ boy or nothing.”
The former All-Pro running back further stated that he does not hate Wilson but he claimed that a lot of things that happened in Seattle during his time there didn’t make any sense.
Pete Carroll didn’t hold Russell Wilson accountable, claims Marshawn Lynch
During a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, the former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch opened up a lot about the strange ways of handling things in Seattle by Pete Carroll.

Lynch implied that Carroll failed to hold Wilson accountable during lot of times and it did not sit well with the rest of the teammates. “Being accountable was something big for us,” he said while noting how Caroll once said that Seahawks players were told not to speak to Wilson about the pandering situation.
Marshawn claims Carroll told the players that if anybody had anything to say to Russell Wilson, they should either talk to him or the quarterback’s coach, but not the signal-caller himself.
It seems like Marshawn Lynch recognizes Russell Wilson’s talent as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL but it doesn’t feel like they both had any relationship off the field despite playing together for half a decade.
