Marshawn Lynch is a former legendary running back who used to play in the NFL. The 37-year-old was a feared opponent due to his incredible size and aggression.

The former RB spent the majority of his career with the Seattle Seahawks and won almost every available trophy with them, including the Lombardi Trophy. During the tail-end of his career, the controversial RB moved to his hometown team, the Oakland Raiders, to play out his remaining days in football.

His time with the Raiders is forgettable, barring one massive incident for which he was ejected from the game. Lynch has a great relationship with CB Marcus Peters, who is currently a free agent. ‘Beast Mode” calls Peters his little cousin and proved it during the match against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Peters used to play for the Chiefs during that time, and the cousins faced off against each other. The former Chiefs CB got embroiled in a brutal tackle on QB Derek Carr, which resulted in commotion and aggression from the Raiders. The Raiders offensive line rushed to confront Peters. However, Lynch came in support of him and even shoved a referee in the process, leading to his ejection.

Lynch shared the whole ordeal in a recent podcast with WR Tyreek Hill and stated what he felt during the time. The only thing he could see was protecting his little brother from the Raider’s offensive line, and he did just that.

“I forget that we on a motherf*ng national stage. That’s my little cousin and as the big cousin, I got to protect you but otherwise what’s family for real though?” Marshawn Lynch stated on the podcast.

The NFL teams are usually a band of brothers who stick together despite every shortcoming or disagreement. Marshawn Lynch decided to let go of all those feelings when his little cousin was getting pushed around on the field.

“The thing is, you get programmed and they tell you, you gotta protect the shield type shit. But then I mean for me I’m wired the way I rock. N***a I ain’t even thinking [about] football,” Marshawn Lynch stated. “I’m more so, I just see my little cousin getting into some shit and then the family just instantly clicked. So everything else didn’t even matter.”

Lynch didn’t feel bad after getting expelled from the game and believes he stood for something right despite all the things people have said. Marcus Peters also decided to return the favor by speaking at Lynch’s disciplinary hearing regarding the Chiefs-Raiders incident.
