Stars from different fields were in attendance at the inaugural Miami GP 2022. As expected, they were being chased down by media personnel for a little chit-chat. Martin Brundle, the F1 presenter for Sky Sports was also there and as expected, he was able to gift us another memorable interview.
For the unversed, Martin is known for conducting rather ‘unusual’ interviews, especially with American celebrities. However, what he did this time around has left the internet in splits.

Martin chased down a man thinking it was Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, the man turned out to be one of the NBA’s brightest young prospects, Paolo Banchero. Even after the conversation started, Martin still wasn’t able to realize his mistake.
“It’s amazing to be allowed right in the middle of the competitors before the race starts,” Martin asked Paolo still thinking that he was Mahomes. “They are locked in, it reminds me of myself, real focussed,” Banchero replied. After this, Martin finally realized what had happened.
“It’s not Patrick, that’s why he ignored me in the beginning,” Martin said before asking Banchero what was his name. “Paolo Banchero,” the NBA star replied. “I thought I was talking to somebody else, sorry about that,” Martin further claimed as Paolo laughed it off and went away.
As it turns out, the video of the incident went viral like crazy. Banchero himself shared the clip on Twitter and captioned it, “i’m jus vibing right now man.”
Even Mahomes couldn’t stop himself from laughing out loud after what had transpired. “Bro ain’t no way,” Mahomes wrote in reply to Paolo’s video.
