Just a couple of days ago, Marvin Harrison Jr. was widely considered the top prospect for the New England Patriots as they have the No. 3 overall pick. Fast forward to today, one of his former teammates revealed a much-like possibility for the wide receiver to land in the Arizona Cardinals.

In a recent appearance on the “Cardinals Corner” podcast, former Ohio State wide receiver Paris Johnson Jr. opened up about his conversation with Harrison, where he told Johnson that the Cardinals are his preferred landing spot in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft

The Arizona wide receiver said:

I literally went to Marvin and was like, ‘Dude, you know you’re a Cardinal, right?’ I knew he was going to be a Cardinal because I saw what happened with [DeAndre Hopkins]. I’m like, the Cardinals are probably going to want another 6-4 receiver. So I’m like, dude, I have a feeling, you’re probably going to be a Cardinal. He [Marvin Harrison Jr.] said he wanted to be a Cardinal.

Johnson was drafted in as the sixth overall pick last offseason by the Cardinals, and this season if the franchise decided to use its No. 4 overall pick instead of trading him, his former teammate would join his wide receiving squad– forming a strong offensive duo for next season.

What is Marvin Harrison Jr.’s draft scenario?

As for the moment, Harrison’s landing spot in the upcoming NFL draft remains uncertain. There are no scenarios in the top five or six suggesting a prospective team for him.

Prior to the Buckeyes’ Pro Day in Columbus, the Patriots were known to be the most likely team to draft one of the greatest wide receiver prospects of all time. But given how things turned out after the event as the wide receiver refused to work out the chances are slim.

Apart from that, the Cardinals are the second-best option for Harrison, given that he is also interested in joining the franchise. Additionally, the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants may also draft him.
