Deshaun Watson can be called one of the most controversial NFL players of recent times. The former Houston Texans QB secured one of the most expensive trades while juggling sexual assault lawsuits from 24 different women.

Last year, mainstream media had a field day writing and talking about the Cleveland Browns QB. However, this year has been a different story altogether. Watson has been mostly absent from the headlines ever since suffering his 11-game suspension last season.

Now, the 27-year-old QB has made headlines for a different reason altogether. NFL analyst and Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot recently had heaps of praise for the controversial QB. She was invited to speak on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and couldn’t stop praising Watson for his desirable qualities.

Cabot believes Watson’s a changed person now, and the dealings of last year have filled him with regret. He wasn’t happy about last year and is working extra hard to undo the controversies that occurred last season. She also believes that the QB will do everything in his power to undo the things that happened last year.

“I think he’s going to do whatever it takes to get it right. He’s not happy with the way the last year went,” Mary Kay Cabot stated. “He’s doing everything he possibly can and that’s all to ask for.”

Although, Mary Kay Cabot knew that her statements would be received by rageful and furious people on social media. She still went ahead with her statement for Deshaun Watson.

According to her, Watson has a work ethic never seen in anyone from the NFL and it continues to get better. She also called him a perfectionist. It’s pretty hard to believe, as the former Texans QB was recently accused of sexual assault of 24 women.

“He used to work on his footwork over and over. He used to do those agility drills. He has a work ethic that you guys cannot even believe,” Mary Kay Cabot stated. “He’s a perfectionist, he’s always working on something.”

These statements from Mary Kay sound too good to be true and even if they are true many people won’t believe them. Deshaun Watson has tarnished his reputation and legacy after being involved in a lawsuit of such high magnitude. Let’s hope he can redeem himself if he is indeed redeemable.
