Micah Parsons and Stephen A. Smith have been going back and forth over the last few days. It all started with Stephen A. appearing on the LB’s show and going all in on Dak Prescott. He criticized the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys for failure to show up at key moments time-and-over. Parsons’ was criticized by fans for his reluctance to defend his quarterback. He seems to have heard the criticism because when Micah Parsons appeared on Stephen A. Smith’s show; he came fully prepared to defend his QB.
He brought up the fact that Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys get analyzed much harsher than other QBs. Stephen A. attempted to check him but Parsons did not hold back as he went on a rant stating if a QB fails to win the Super Bowl, none of their accomplishments matter.
Micah Parsons’ belief that participation trophies do not matter ticked off Smith.
It doesn't matter if you got there if you don't win when you get there!Parsons said
Stephen A. put forth an interesting question:
So, in other words, the two week period, where you prepare for the Super Bowl after you smoke somebody in the Wildcard game, after you smoke somebody in the Divisional game, after you smoke somebody in the NFC Championship game, you're telling me all of that doesn't matter because the big game, you didn't finish?
Micah Parsons is not interested in handing out participation trophies
The linebacker responded with a “yea” to Smith’s question. He believes since the runners-up get no parade or recognition, it is Super Bowl or bust in this league. Parsons began to judge other quarterbacks in the league on the same metrics as analysts criticize Dak Prescott.
Micah Parsons called Patrick Mahomes the only QB who deserves to be commended because he has dominated. After Tom Brady, he has been the only one who has had a successful run in the last 5 years.
...you're trying to take away Dak Prescott's career but what has anyone else across the league accomplished except Patrick Mahomes?Parsons argued
He then addressed Josh Allen, who almost made it to the Super Bowl by beating Patrick Mahomes. Since he ultimately failed at moving past the AFC Championship, Parsons is of the opinion that his accomplishments should not matter either.

Stephen A. Smith then pointed out that Joe Burrow beat Patrick Mahomes and, as a result, he deserves to be credited for that. However, Micah Parsons argued that because he went on to lose to Matthew Stafford in the Super Bowl, his achievements cannot be recognized either.
The linebacker was attempting to convey the message that if Dak Prescott is considered to be a failure for not leading the Cowboys to a Super Bowl win, other QBs in the NFL should be held to the same standards.
