Micah Parsons is grabbing all the limelight after the Dallas Cowboys thrashed the New York Jets by a margin of 30-10. It was Parsons’ night as he was pivotal in achieving the team’s victory. Meanwhile, Zach Wilson, the backup quarterback, seemed ineffective in front of him and did not have any impact on the game. Parsons’ defensive masterclass led the team to an easy victory. But it was his off-the-field antics and humor that got the fans cracking on the internet.
Micah Parsons was not only good on the field but also he seemed sarcastic off-field. Right after the match, journalist Omar Ruiz asked him whether he had any idea that the Cowboys would win this game. The athlete said that he knew the Cowboys would win the game since Monday. His intention was clear, owing to a sudden change in the Jets team.
On Monday, Aaron Rodgers, the star QB for the Jets got injured and the team had to replace him with Zach Wison, their backup quarterback. Parsons tried to make clear that he knew the Jets would fail to win against the Cowboys as Wilson would not be able to pose the threat that Rodgers would have posed. Hence it already became a win-win situation for them. They just had to walk in the pitch and make it sure, which they did in style.
It was Micah Parsons’ night. He had two sacks and three tackles for loss. Further, he forced a fumble and defended a pass while hitting the quarterback four times. These stats prove how effective he was on-field.
Dallas Cowboys are looking strong
With the start of the NFL season, Dallas is looking very strong. They won back-to-back games and the players are slowly gearing up. Dak Prescott, who had a minimalistic game against the New York Giants, had a decent game against the Jets. He had a 31-of-37 passing record for 255 yards. Plus, he also had two touchdowns. Furthermore, Tony Pollard finished the game with his career-best statistics of winning 25 catches and had 109 all-purpose yards.
With good depth in the squad, the Cowboys are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. And they have not tested Trey Lance yet. Defensively they have been too good. So, as long as the team implements more in the offense they can finally end the trophy drought.
