The Philadelphia Eagles got their offense all sorted out this offseason as they signed superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts to a five-year $255 million contract extension. Now, in the 2023 NFL draft, they just strengthened their defense and have ensured their dominance in the NFC for years to come.

The Eagles swapped their 10th overall pick with the Chicago Bears for their 9th overall pick. With this pick, the Eagles selected Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Carter was initially predicted to be a lock for the top three picks, but his involvement in the fatal car crash and poor day performance saw him slip down in the draft.

“I’m just so sick to my stomach right now,” Parsons said. “I’m just sick to my stomach right now. I can’t believe that many teams passed up on him. I’m just truly sick right now.” The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year said the Eagles had the steal of the draft and with veteran DT Javon Hargrave joining the 49ers in the offseason, Carter is the perfect replacement for him.

Parsons said, “Hargrave, who just got $85 million. Now you’re gonna pay someone for $20 [million]. The value. I’m just so shocked that eight teams let Jalen Carter fall to 9 for this.” Jalen Carter is touted to be the best defensive lineman in the draft and he will be kept a close eye on during the 2023 season.

As per the police report, Carter and Willock were in one car and LeCroy in another, and by the looks of it, both cars were racing other down the streets of Athens.

Both cars lost control somewhere down the line and crashed into each other. Willock was pronounced dead on the scene and LeCroy was taken to a nearby hospital but was later declared dead as well.
