“We left a marine?!! Hell nah,” Micah Parsons is absolutely furious over Brittany Griner’s homecoming instead of U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, expresses regret instantly
Micah Parsons Brittany Griner
Brittany Griner, the WNBA star, was arrested due to drug-related charges and was kept in Russian custody for several months. She was stopped at Moscow airport by Russian authorities, who claimed that the basketball player was carrying vape cartridges filled with THC.
The government was recently been able to secure her release through the prisoner exchange program. The American government ensured the release of Russian Arms dealer Viktor Bout in exchange for Griner.
Griner’s homecoming news was met with excitement around the country. However, Cowboys LB Micah Parsons was not happy about it and decided to share his opinions.
Micah Parsons took to Twitter to voice his opinions and stated. “We left a Marine?!! Hell Nah”. US Marine Paul Whelan was arrested in Russia due to espionage charges and was in prison for several years.
Although Parsons was happy with Griner returning to her home, he was furious, as the deal didn’t include marine Paul Whelan. However, his tweet was met with a plethora of rage and the Cowboys LB sent out a few tweets to clarify his situation.
“Just spoke to some people that I respect and trust. I should have been more educated on the topic and not tweeted out of emotion for my family and other who have served. For that I apologize. Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true,” Micah Parsons stated on Twitter.

Micah Parsons admitted that he isn’t a Trump supporter or a Biden Supporter
Micah Parsons has always been vocal about his views, and this time it was no different. The AP defensive player of the year suggested that he isn’t fond of US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
“My last tweet was no shot at Brittney Griner. I’m super happy she’s back home as she should be. I just have family who have served and it’s crazy to me the President wouldn’t bring him home too. I’m the furthest thing from a trump supporter but I’m not a fan of Biden either.” Parsons stated on his Twitter
Parsons’ tweet was met with outrage as the US officials had already stated that they were working to bring the ret. Marine Paul Whelan back to the States.
The 23-year-old then apologized for his mistake in another tweet and prayed for Whelan’s return. “Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true then the best outcome was accomplished. I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family. I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake.”
Micah Parsons isn’t making any mistakes on the field as the LB is in splendid form currently and has 12 sacks and 13 tackles, the 23-year-old is critical in the Cowboys’ 9-3 record this season as they look to challenge for the Super Bowl. The Cowboys are currently 2nd in their division as they chase the formidable Eagles for the title.
