Micah Parsons could not help but laugh when he was not given a much-deserved holding call against the Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys are on a roll. America’s team is playing true to its name, as on Sunday, they dethroned the Philadelphia Eagles from atop the NFC East by handing them an old-fashioned beatdown.

Led by an overall team effort, the Cowboys beat the Eagles 33-13, landing an effective blow to the team’s morale at the perfect time as the season nears its end.

Their victory, however, came with its own set of struggles. A struggle that has been rampantly faced by almost every team in their games this season. The quality of officiating.

On Sunday night, there were questionable calls made by the referees, but there were also many calls that should’ve been made but were blatantly missed, such as this clear-cut holding call on linebacker Micah Parsons, which led him to dub the entire situation as “comical.”

Parsons took to X after a video of this play was uploaded.

I told you, it's comical!

Well, at this point, he can’t really do anything but laugh it off. How did the officiating crew not see this, that’s going to remain a mystery.  Parsons, on this particular play, was held onto by the Eagles offense.

As the ball was snapped, he successfully pushed the tight end aside, and he sensed this. Since he was no longer in a position to ward off the linebacker, his last resort was to hold onto him.

The NFL’s officiating has remained consistent every season. Consistently questionable. Last week, they came under fire for missing a pivotal call in the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Green Bay Packers.

A pass interference penalty in the final moments of the game, which could’ve changed the outcome of the match, was not called. On November 26th, in the Falcons-Saints game, a similar pass interference play was missed by the same crew that officiated in the Chiefs’ matchup.

The Eagles had 10 penalties called on them whilst the Cowboys had seven calls on them.

It's unbelievable that they can call all those penalties and not call those holdings.

The NFL has stated that it reviews each call made by officials but has yet to take any action against them for missed calls or bad calls.
