Daboll and Jones had another howler yesterday, failing to produce offensively once again.

Micah Parsons had the same reaction every avid fan of football had on their face, seeing the New York Giants get blown out once more. Not only did Brian Daboll‘s team record their second-fewest points this season, they are also the lowest-scoring offense in the first quarter.
The Giants were a playoff team last season, enjoying the postseason for the first time since Eli Manning won them the Super Bowl. Daboll won the Coach of the Year award, and things were looking bright until the 2023 season began. Currently, the team has just one win in four, which came against the Cardinals.
However, the onus was on them to turn their luck around with a good show against the Seattle Seahawks. But that did not go according to plan. Quarterback Daniel Jones was under pressure to perform, and it showed throughout the game. His poor decision-making ended up giving away to Pick-6, and one of them ended up a 97-yard return from Seahawks Devon Witherspoon. Instead of reducing the deficit from 14-3, it ended up being 21-3.
Daboll was visually upset with Jones at the sidelines moments later. The camera panned at the Giants’ corner and showed that the 48-year-old tossed aside his laptop in anger. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons expressed his thoughts with only one emoji on X (formerly Twitter).
Parsons and the Cowboys faced the Giants on Opening Day and handed the New York franchise one of their worst-ever nights in football. They ran riot, scoring 40 unanswered points. After the game wrapped up, the superstar pass rusher was not happy with Brian Daboll. Parsons criticized him for keeping Daniel Jones on the field despite losing by a massive margin.
“It’s called protecting your guy—something I thought the Giants should have done,” the Pro Bowler said on his “The Edge with Micah Parsons” podcast. “I don’t think Daniel Jones should have been in that game in the fourth quarter.”
Brian Daboll’s tactics haven’t been fruitful for the New York Giants
Daboll is regarded as an offensive-minded coach. He has a CV to boast about his credentials. But every season, that process of playcalling changes on the basis of the team’s opposition. While coaches like him prefer to attack in the first half to get the upper hand with the Giants, that seems like a fool’s chore.

Believe it or not, they have let in 77 points in the first half of play this season and have scored only 9. It’s clear that Brian Daboll’s script is not working, whether he has won or not.
The absence of Saquon Barkley is a gaping hole that keeps getting bigger. Jones may be struggling, but not possessing a commanding offensive line to guard him is an issue. Without left tackle Andrew Thomas, the Giants’ line of scrimmage feels like a swish cheez. Jones was sacked 10 times by Seahawks rushers yesterday, bringing his total to 22 in four games. If this keeps up, then the 26-year-old will end up in the hospital soon.
