It seems Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons did not have a fun getaway, as he stirred up Twitter with his post targeting Universal Studios for their pricing policies. Known for his frugal lifestyle and outspoken nature, Parsons complained about the high prices of the Orlando-based theme park.

Universal Studios is a prime destination for a family vacation. Home to some of the best-known cinema franchises and animation films, it is also a great place for children to get close to some of their favorite characters with frequent events like parades. However, to get a chance to enter the place, one has to pay a pretty penny. Moreover, it’s even more expensive than buying tickets ($149) for Disney World in the same city. It’s no surprise that not everyone can afford to go out and spend a lot of money most of the time.

On Monday, the 24-year-old said on Twitter that it’s a “rip-off” that one has to pay for all three parks separately: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and the water park Volcano Bay.

In another tweet, Parson says that one has to pay around $250 to visit all the areas. He even compared it to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, where every attraction is included in an $85 ticket.

People were quick to critique the Cowboys’ LB, saying that an NFL player earns a lot and can pay at least that much. Parsons replied back by saying that he has a family to look after; he has kids. He also emphasized that his budget isn’t the same as some of the top earners in the game.

Luckily for Parsons, he is due an extension from the Cowboys, which will give him ample excuse to visit Universal if he hasn’t already.

Parsons may be vocal on Twitter a lot for various reasons, but he’s also a vocal leader on the pitch side too. Besides his comments on social media, his contract negotiation is also generating a lot of buzz. The 1.9-meter-tall linebacker was drafted by the Cowboys in 2021 and has rapidly established himself as one of the NFL’s most productive players.

However, the Cowboys won’t have to deal with extending his deal until May 1, 2024. Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, is confident that Parsons deserves a massive increase in his earnings. Director of Player Personnel Stephen Jones even recently said that “Micah is a great player.” Well, the 2022 defensive player of the runner-up will surely be able to afford more frequent visits to Universal Studios if the deal eventually materializes.
