Michael Irvin was born to be on television. The former star receiver for the Dallas Cowboys has recently been thrust into the spotlight, for all the right reasons. Irvin called out his son, who goes by Tut Tarantino, for faking his toughness and rapping about being a gangster, whereas in reality, he has lived a really comfortable life and has pretty much been given everything.

The line that really put Tut Tarantino’s claims of being a gangster or from a rough background was this.

I got a son, he raps. His rap name is Tut Tarantino if you listen to some of his raps. I'm like, 'Oh my god.' Where does this come from, son? You grew up in a gated community your whole life.

Irvin clearly woke up and chose violence. He went as far as to say that his son was rapping about the former NFL great’s life as he did have a rough upbringing and came from nothing.

Michael Irvin was addressing the Ja Morant situation. The PG for the Memphis Grizzlies responded positively to a tweet from Deion Sanders where Primetime gave him some valuable advice considering his recent troubles with the NBA. Irvin is of the opinion that Morant and his son, this younger generation, “romanticize and fantasize about that old thug life, ghetto life, and all of that stuff.”

Michael Irvin’s comments have rendered his son’s rap lyrics meaningless

The Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer does not understand why this is the case because, during his time, they worked to get away from such a lifestyle whereas now, people are more inclined to run towards it. Michael Irvin’s statement on Undisputed on FS1 was the equivalent of Eminem’s iconic line from the movie 8 Mile. In the final rap battle that ensues between Papa Doc and Bunny Rabbit, the rapper drops the line “He went to Cranbrook, that’s a private school.”

Elijah Irvin putting up a misleading persona that he has come from a rough background is similar to this. The rapper who is known as Tut Tarantino has dropped songs such as Run it Remix, Hit Pt.2. Never Get Full, and 18. Some of the responses to Michael Irvins exposing his son were hilarious, take a look.

How does one come back from something like this?

That pretty much sums it up accurately. Irvin was urging Ja Morant to “distance” himself from individuals who are about that gangster life and have not been able to make it out of rough situations like he has. This comes in light of the 25-game suspension levied against the PG for flashing a gun on social media.
