The new-look Undisputed featuring Skip Bayless, Michael Irvin, Richard Sherman, and Keyshawn Johnson has had some exciting segments so far. In that trend, during a recent episode of the show, the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Sherman shared a hot take on the wide receiver-defensive backs debate which led to Irvin and Johnson walking off the Undisputed set.
During a recent episode of the Fox Sports 1 show Undisputed, the panel which consisted of Bayless, Irvin, Sherman, and Johnson discussed the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson ranked number 2 on the list of Top 100 NFL players. Sherman claimed that receivers shouldn’t be valued that much. Furthermore, he also pissed off the former NFL receivers Johnson and Irvin with a hot take.
“I’ll say something that to p**s you off right now,” said Sherman to Michael Irvin. “Corner is a harder position [than a wide receiver].” As soon as Sherman uttered those words, Irvin and Sherman walked off the set. “See, now I gotta go,” said Johnson while walking off the set. Check out the footage below.
Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson eventually sat back in the chair after a chaotic couple of seconds. Bayless just sat on the side smirking while all the chaos was happening.
Sherman used to be one of the top cornerbacks in the league during his days. And, Irvin and Johnson used to be great receivers in the league. So, they might see things from their perspective and might be a little proud to admit the truth.
Richard Sherman had the correct take in WR-DB debate

During the recent episode of The Undisputed show, Richard Sherman shared a “hot” take that playing the cornerback position is harder than playing as a wide receiver in football.
That take led to Michael Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson jokingly walking off the set, but Sherman’s take was 100% the right one. Wide receivers are undeniably some of the greatest athletes in any sport.
They are quick, agile, and have great hands. To mirror them without knowing their route while backpedaling is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, things to do in the NFL. That’s why a great cornerback is rare in the league.
But to be fair, Sherman was wrong about how receivers shouldn’t be valued so much. Receives are the number 1 group among skill position players. Having an elite receiver could change the dynamic of the entire offense, and contrary to Sherman’s take, Justin Jefferson was undeniably the second-best player in the league last season.
