The Super Bowl is still a couple of weeks away, but this year’s divisional playoffs are bound to be more exciting than the big game. The stage is set. It is a repeat of the previous year’s AFC Divisional Round with the Buffalo Bills taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The latter is 3-2 all time in the playoffs against Buffalo, but when Mahomes has been the QB, the Chiefs have been 2-0. This time things will be a bit different because the game will not be at Arrowhead but at Highmark Stadium.

I say Buffalo wins this football game...this is Armageddon in Buffalo....I do have Buffalo winning this game 31-28...Buffalo is 8-1 at home, this is truly the first playoff road game for Patrick Mahomes...

Michael Irvin is picking the Bills because the team has a phenomenal record when they are playing at home. The analyst stated Patrick Mahomes is comfortable when he plays in Arrowhead and that makes it much harder for opposing teams to beat him in the playoffs but this time things are different; the Bills have the leverage this time.

Michael Irvin believes this is the year the Buffalo Bills will overcome the Chiefs

The analyst also added that if this time as well, the Bills fail to beat the Chiefs, then it is about time for them to start rebuilding. The reason being the team will never get this good an opportunity to beat Patrick Mahomes again. This year, the quarterback has not looked at himself; he has been vulnerable; he has struggled owing to lack of consistency amongst his wide receivers. The Bills cannot let this opportunity go.

I say to Buffalo, if you don't win this game, you got to tear the house down. You'll never get the Kansas City Chiefs in a better position to win than right now. You are going into this game with this mentality...8-1 at home, home field advantage. You get a chance to remove him (Patrick Mahomes) at home in front of the home crowd.

Josh Allen will have to step up in a big way. The Kansas City Chiefs will need to bring their best if they intend to make their way to the Super Bowl again.

This time, all the leverage is in the hands of Buffalo. They have the home-field advantage. Despite the adverse weather conditions at Highmark Stadium, the cheers from the fans will be deafening. Buffalo has the added motivation of beating the Chiefs because they have been in their way for too long.
