Ex-Cowboys WR Michael Irvin taunts Skip Bayless by dubbing ‘Patrick Mahomes is the baddest man on the planet’
Irvin implied that Mahomes won with one of the weakest Chiefs sides since he became a starter with the Chiefs.

It’s hard to take any other current NFL quarterback over Patrick Mahomes. But Skip Bayless surmised that he would pick Joe Burrow over Mahomes, all based on the 28-year-old’s “struggle” in Super Bowl LVIII. However, the veteran FOX analyst colleague, Michael Irvin, disagreed with him.
During the latest segment of Undisputed, Bayless claimed that Mahomes did not live up to his regular standards on Sunday night. Compared to when Burrow faced him in the Super Bowl in 2021, the Bengals QB was much better, even though the Cincinnati Bengals lost that game.
Irvin, on the other hand, ignored Bayless’ argument, saying that Mahomes won back-to-back Super Bowls without Tyreek Hill. On top of that, the Kansas City Chiefs receiver core was a mess in the 2023 campaign. Before their loss to the Raiders in week 16, it was their fifth defeat in eight games.
I love what Joe Burrow has done. He has been incredible. I love all that he has. But you just saw it. You got a fresh look at Patrick Mahomes greatness. He had the ability to do it a second time without Tyreek Hill.Irvin said

The Chiefs ranked 18th in offensive EPA per play and 20th in EPA per dropback during that period. Not only that, Andy Reid‘s team was uncharacteristically miles away from their usual selves. They had the most turnovers (26) and drops (34) in 10 years under Coach Reid.
Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky said on NFL Live that, outside of offensive linemen Creed Humphrey and Rashee Rice, none of the Chiefs players had their heads in the game. That’s a massive statement to make considering linemen don’t usually run to score a touchdown. And Rice is a rookie who usually doesn’t feature much on Reid’s starting roster from the get-go. It was indicative enough that things were not well.
Reid later admitted that the Raiders game lit a fire under the Chiefs players. Since then, Mahomes has defeated every single team en route to the Super Bowl. He went on the road on play-off day, which he has never done, and won.
Then beat the AFC No. 1 seed, the Baltimore Ravens, in the championship game at their back alley. Not only that, he was so confident of winning the Super Bowl that he sent a text to his wife prior to the game in Vegas. He kept the promise, beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.
All these factors understandably made, Irvin say,
Patrick Mahomes is the baddest man on the planet.
Mahomes also bagged his third Super Bowl MVP. He finished the game with 34 completions from 46 attempts for 333 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. After the game, he announced that the Chiefs are a dynasty and will fight for the three-peat.
