The Michigan Wolverines were not kidding when they said it was them against everyone else. Following the Big Ten’s three-game suspension which was levied against the team’s head coach Jim Harbaugh last Friday, the Wolverines have been recipients of widespread hate and criticism. Rightfully so, they cheated and they got caught for doing it.
Michigan has been attempting to control the narrative and sway it in its favor, in the team’s second game without Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines at Maryland, all the players expressed their support for their head coach by rocking T-shirts featuring the words “FREE HARBAUGH” written on it with an image of the man himself.

The pre-game shirts worn by the team show that the team is still sticking to its stance that they have done nothing wrong. The contention of the Wolverines was that sign-stealing is a common practice across the NFL and as a result, it is outright wrong that they are the only team being punished for it.
Jim Harbaugh is serving a 3-game suspension for his involvement in the sign-stealing scandal
The Wolverines embark on their final road trip of college football‘s regular season as they play the Maryland Terrapins. Next week, the team will close out their regular season when they face off against rivals Ohio State University. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh and the University accepted the Big Ten’s three-game suspension.

The responses to the Wolverines wearing their shirts with Harbaugh’s were critical in nature. Some fans saw this as the team expressing their support for cheating and behaving like they were the victims.

The Big Ten agreed to conclude its investigation into Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines, which led to the hearing on Friday morning which was scheduled at the Washtenaw County Courthouse to be dismissed. Despite Jim Harbaugh not being on the sidelines at the game last week, the Wolverines managed to win their game against Penn State. The game in Maryland would be special for the Wolverines as if the team wins, it will be their 1,000th win in University history. Unfortunately for Jim Harbaugh, he would not be able to partake in the celebrations along the sideline.
