Mike Greenberg claims the Jets can win the AFC East title without Aaron Rodgers after seeing the Dolphins and Bills’ struggles in Week 7

As for the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, two of the top teams in the AFC East struggled in Week 7, there might be a chance for the New York Jets to pave its way to the trophy. After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles at 31-17, the Dolphins have fallen down the list.
On the other hand, the Bills suffered a 29-24 loss to the New England Patriots resulting in the team’s third loss this season, and second of three in the division. Considering the Dolphins’ position, the Bills need to be careful as they cannot afford another loss in any more division face-offs. And certainly cannot be behind the Dolphins by two games.
In spite of everything that’s happening, there could be a chance for the Jets to win the AFC East, even without Aaron Rodgers, as claimed by ESPN radio show host Mike Greenberg.
While speaking on the matter, Greenberg claimed:
I'm telling you right now, the New York Jets can still win the AFC East. The Jets do look like they are a team with a positive trajectory. The quarterback is playing better, the legend is coming back at some point this season. The defense may be the best team in the league. Tell me I'm wrong, the Jets can still win within the division.
Jets are currently the only team in the league to have a bye week. After which, they would have a face-off against the New York Giants. If they won the game, they would become their third consecutive win, after defeating the Eagles and the Broncos.
The Jets are standing at a strong position in the AFC East division. And if the Dolphins and Bills’ performance does not improve in the coming weeks, it might literally increase the odds of the Jets winning the AFC.
New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins in a crucial game for the AFC East
Whether the Jets are better than the Dolphins this season would be decided on the upcoming game between these two, scheduled to be held on November 24th. The Jets will be hosting the Dolphins, which would be the first game in the league to be held on Black Friday.
And as this new tradition develops in the NFL, what could be a better game to start with if not the rivals, Jets and Dolphins? This would be the first game after the trade of Aaron Rodgers, who will lead the team as quarterback. He has a career mark of 3-1 and would be facing the Dolphins with a passer rating of 92.9. And the dolphins’ defense would be coordinated by Vic Fangio.
Earlier this month, in Week 1 of this season, the Jets claimed the victory over the Bills with a 22-16. The Bills suffered a tragic loss as their quarterback Josh Allen committed four turnovers, blowing a 10-point lead. If Greenberg would have any backing, it would be in the Jets game against the Dolphins by the end of November.
