The Dallas Cowboys, under the combination of quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy, will be competing for the Super Bowl in the upcoming season. In the last two years, the Cowboys had early exits from the postseason despite having good regular seasons. But this year, it could change since McCarthy believes this is the best Dallas squad he has seen in the 4 years he has been coaching the Cowboys.
“To give you a comparable, it’s definitely the best of the four years,” McCarthy told reporters during the Cowboys’ training camp. “The development in how we were able to integrate our young players, you know, we played, I don’t know what the statistics are but I’m sure we are upper 1 or 2 in the league as playing young players less.”
The veteran head coach believes that is the recipe for Super Bowl success in the NFL. “I’ve always felt that bridging the gap between the veteran players and the younger players is critical in your opportunity that you’re building towards winning a championship,” said McCarthy.
The Cowboys didn’t lose many players in the off-season and they’ve managed to bring in some new star players, including WR Brandin Cooks and CB Stephon Gilmore. And their former 1st round draft pick CeeDee Lamb has established himself as a number 1 receiver and would play a key role in the Cowboys’ offensive unit under QB Dak Prescott.
Mike McCarthy is saying the truth, as this is truly the best squad he has had in his four-year tenure as the Cowboys HC so far. But in the end, it will come down to how well Prescott can handle the pressure in crucial situations.

It’s a do or die season for the Cowboys QB Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott might be entering a do-or-die season in 2023. Earlier this year, the Cowboys suffered a brutal playoff loss against the San Francisco 49ers due to Prescott’s horrible 2-interceptions performance.
Even the Cowboys’ official social media account took a dig at Prescott for his performance. If the Cowboys’ Super Bowl hopes once again end because of a performance like that, Prescott might be released in the following off-season.
Before all that, the Cowboys would now be focused on dethroning the Philadelphia Eagles as the NFC East champions. The self-proclaimed America’s team has the roster to go toe-to-toe with the Eagles, but it will come down to Prescott’s leadership and clutchness.
