“Zeke is rejuvenated,” Mike McCarthy’s stunned reaction to Ezekiel Elliott clocking 22mph at Dallas Cowboys training

Ezekiel Elliott is all set to make a stunning comeback into the NFL next season, after having tapered off for the past couple of seasons. The extremely quick running back has not had the best of times with injury problems as well.
Ezekiel Elliot suffered a partial PCL tear last season during Dallas Cowboys’ week 4 win over the Carolina Panthers. He played the season with the injury but seems to have recovered from it completely as he makes a fresh start this year.

He rushed for 1,002 yards, averaging 58.9 yards per game, the lowest of his career. The reasons for his underwhelming performance can be attributed to his injury, and it meant a disappointing season for the Cowboys, who were aiming at a Super Bowl spot.
During the Dallas Cowboys‘ rookie mini camp, the 26-year old clocked speeds of 22 miles per hour, showing significant signs of improvement and has brought back talks of him redeeming himself after his exceptional rookie season in 2016.
Mike McCarthy head coach of the Dallas Cowboys was visibly surprised and excited at the prospect of his primary wide receiver getting back to his old self.
“I would hope so,” McCarthy said to reporters. “I was looking at the GPS [Thursday] of the workouts, I think, Tuesday. Twenty-two miles an hour. That’s pretty damn good. So, yeah, he looks great.”
These comments from McCarthy shows how much he relies on Ezekiel Elliott’s individual prowess to have a perfect season in 2022.
