On Sunday, the Tennessee Titans led by their second-year quarterback Will Levis went against the AFC powerhouses Miami Dolphins in their week 14 NFL matchup. In the game, the Titans cornerback/punt returner Eric Garror made a crucial mistake in the final minutes of the game, and head coach Mike Vrabel wasn’t hearing any excuses.

With just 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Titans defense managed to force a 3rd and out. However, when the Dolphins punted the ball away, Tennessee’s returner Eric Garror made a huge mistake by muffing the punt, which was recovered by the Miami-based football team. So, the Dolphins got possession of the ball back inside Tennessee’s 10-yard line during the crucial moment.

Following the huge mistake, sideline cameras caught the Titans’ head coach Mike Vrabel lashing out at his cornerback Garror, who was seemingly explaining how he made the mistake.

The muffed punt proved to be costly as the Dolphins quickly went on to score a touchdown. Within minutes, Miami managed to score another touchdown and took a commanding 14-point lead during the final minutes of the game.

It seemed like the Dolphins would comfortably secure a victory with their offensive surge in 3 minutes. However, Will Levis and the Titans made a remarkable comeback and were able to register an impressive win on MNF. With that victory, the Titans improved to a 5-8 record and are still staying in the hunt for a postseason spot.

I'm proud of the character of this football team, competing and then having to go in a different direction real quick. And then coming back and getting stops late and then moving the football late in the game and score, I'm really proud of these guys.
Vrabel told reporters

Vrabel acknowledged the mistakes by his team towards the end of the game. But, he was just proud of how his team never gave up despite being down by two scores with 3 minutes left in the game.

The head coach would want his team to continue giving the same effort in the upcoming weeks as they are still in play for a spot in playoffs. Next, they will get a much-needed break as they are set to have their bye in week 15.
