Renowned NFL analyst Mina Kimes has spoken highly of Jimmy Garoppolo after his inspiring performance in the game against the Cardinals. The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City 38-10 courtesy of a brilliant offensive game led by quarterback Jimmy G. With this win, they maintain their top spot in the NFC West division.

The 49ers are looking like a much better team now than a few weeks ago after a 23-44 hammering by the Chiefs. They have now won three consecutive matches against three quality sides. Mina Kimes recently analyzed the 49ers vs the Cardinals game and put a light on Jimmy G’s performance.

When asked will the quarterback would be a problem for the 49ers in the playoffs, she denied and accepted that although she has been critical of him in the past; he has now leveled up and is doing pretty well with the ball. She acknowledged how good he is playing off late and said that he could be a big push the 49ers need for the playoffs.

“No, I don’t think so which is notable as you guys know, I have been critical of Garoppolo in the past- last season. I do think if you’re looking at the playoffs and what could possibly detail San Francisco- the quarterback has been a weak link in the past, especially with turnovers, but we also have to acknowledge how Jimmy Garoppolo is playing right now and he’s playing extremely good football,” Kimes said.

She further said that she totally agrees with coach Kyle Shanahan praising Garoppolo and added that the quarterback is not repeating the same mistakes he earlier used to make. She believes that his bond with Christian McCaffrey could be something positive for the 49ers.

“I agree completely with whatever Kyle Shanahan said. He’s got three games without throwing an interception, which was his biggest issue as a quarterback and I do think watching him with Christian McCaffrey, it seems to have locked something,” she said.

With running back McCaffrey to his aid, Jimmy G is a lot more aggressive and that will give him some edge when put under immense pressure during the playoffs. She added that everything is going well for the quarterback right now and hence; he is executing this offense to perfection by leading it.

“He seems a bit more aggressive throwing the ball downfield. It does give him an edge when he’s under pressure when some of those mistakes have happened in the past. Right now, he’s in a terrific situation, the offensive line is playing good, we’ve seen what all of these skilled players are capable of and he is executing this offense to perfection,” Kimes added.

The 49ers will now face the Saints on Sunday before taking on the Dolphins, the Bucs, and the Seahawks. On Christmas eve, they will meet the Commanders on the home field.
