It’s not possible to keep ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith out of the headlines. The mercurial sports analyst always finds his way into the headlines one way or another with his fiery takes and responses. But it’s not all doom and gloom all the time; sometimes he can be the boy from the hood who knows how to party. Especially when it’s with his rumored girlfriend, Molly Qerim.

The pair is a hot topic amongst the gossip mongers, and they have more to whisper about after they got down and dirty, challenging each other with push-ups. On the latest segment of ESPN’s First Take, Dan Orlovsky and ‘Mad Dog’ Chris Russo rallied Smith to do 20 pushups. Smith, being the competitor he is, prepared himself by taking off his tuxedo. Meanwhile, co-host Molly Qerim decided to join in the fun. Ladies first, as they say. She began her attempt, and to her credit, she completed 20 reps, shouting, “I work out! Dan (Orlovsky).”

Next up was Stephen A., and the 55-year-old breezed through the ordeal like it was a cakewalk. He made Orlovsky eat his words, who was confident that the veteran sports presenter could not beat Qerim.

Mad Dog looked proud of his colleague as he jumped on Smith to give a tight hug and congratulate him. The fun and games are now a daily part of ESPN’s morning sports show. That did not stop the viewers from poking fun at Qerim. According to several, she did not do the full reps because her form was incorrect.

While Molly Qerim did finish 20 push-ups but those who tuned in early morning to watch the challenge live claim her form was all over the place. Here are some of the reactions:

Molly Qerim is the ex-wife of former NBA player Jalen Rose. The pair divorced each other on December 2021, after three years of marriage. Rose shared the shocking news on Instagram. “Molly and I have officially decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action.” An insider claimed that the couple had already been living separately for some time and were just looking to make it official. Meanwhile, a rumor started circulating that the divorce happened because Qerim was secretly seeing her colleague, Stephen A. Smith. However, Rose laughed off the baseless whispers.

“It was laughable to see people speculating that she and Stephen A. Smith had a relationship,” Jalen Rose revealed. “I’m not here to speak for what he does in his personal life or what she does. I love both of them. That is not why we split.” On the other hand, Smith is still a bachelor who was seen with a brunette on his latest vacation in the Bahamas.
