Jerry Jones is certainly one of the most controversial team owners in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys owner has been in charge of the team for several decades now and has many interesting stories to share. Therefore, the streaming giant Netflix came up with a masterstroke and secured the rights for a 10 episode ‘Jerry Jones’ docu-series.
It is reported that Netflix will pay somewhere around the region of $50 million to secure the rights of the Cowboys owner’s docu-series. The entertainment company was involved in an intense bidding war with Amazon Prime, ESPN, and a couple of other companies.
Matthew Belloni of Puck.news reported that the deal is not done, but Netflix has won the bidding war against rival competitors. It is speculated that NFL films will produce a 10-episode series in collaboration with Skydance Sports, and it will mainly focus on the Cowboys’ glory days during the 1990s. The Cowboys won several Super Bowls during that time and cemented themselves as the greatest NFL team ever.
Netflix has taken an avid interest in producing NFL content. A quarterback series featuring star QBs like Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota is also on the cards and will be released next week.
It is speculated that the entertainment company wants to secure a package of NFL games. However, its recent controversies can act as a big hurdle for that.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys desperately await their form from the 90s
The Cowboys were the most feared team in the 90s. They had the best players around and quickly dismantled their opposition with great physicality and technical abilities.
However, the glory days are long gone and the Cowboys are victims of their own expectations. Jerry Jones always wants his team to perform the best. This has resulted in massive pressure that the players aren’t able to handle.
However, next season brings hope for the Cowboys. They have hired a new offensive coordinator and have adopted a drastically different playing style. Owner Jerry Jones has given QB Dak Prescott another chance to prove his worth and help his team fight for the Super Bowl this season. Unfortunately, the Cowboys will be fighting in the most competitive division in the league and this can make things worse for them.
