Ahead of the mega matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers, there has been a lot of buzz around Jordan Love up against the MVP candidate Brock Purdy. The last time, when the two teams met at this level ended up with the Packers’ defeat by the hands of the Niners.

However, at that time, the Niners were led by Jimmy Garoppolo while the Packers had Aaron Rodgers at the center. But after Rodgers departs from the franchise, Love has proven himself quite reliable. But when asked Niners’ defensive end Nick Bosa, he seemed confident in elaborating on the difference between the two quarterbacks of the Packers.

Via KNBR, the 49ers star DE took a dig at Love, saying the Packers have:

A quarterback [Jordan Love] who does exactly what he’s coached to do. Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Famer and unbelievable, but he kinda went outside of the realm of coaching. And sometimes it's good when you have a guy who does what he's coached to do.

But that doesn’t mean Bosa wouldn’t have a plan to take down the young Packers quarterback. While talking to Sports Illustrated, he shared his strategy against Love, saying he is “really good at going through his reads and playing the offense to a T.” He shared that his team would be more focused on stopping that run and “covering up those easy, open guys,” would definitely make them succeed.

Bosa believes there hasn’t been any team so far that has made Love uncomfortable, but he’s confident in his team for doing so, which will force him to make mistakes.

Jordan Love’s historic numbers in his playoff debut

After playing a backup quarterback for the star quarterback Rodgers for three years in the Packers, Love jumped straight to the opportunity to be the starter and he sure didn’t disappoint his team. In his debut postseason game as a starter, the 25-year-old recorded 272 passing yards and three touchdowns, against the NFC second-seeded team, Dallas Cowboys.

In his team’s victory by 48-32, QB Love made history by becoming the first NFL quarterback to have the perfect passer rating in his playoff debut. As he completed a pass to seven different receivers, three of which turned into touchdowns.

Despite the immense pressure, Love seemed unfazed as he led his team to the first playoff victory, which advanced them to the divisional round, against the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the 49ers.
