The Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is currently one of the best young talents in the NFL. But the young signal-caller has been copping a lot of hate in recent times due to the Bears’ poor record in the last two years. However, the San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has praised Fields highly by crowning him as the best running QB of all time.

“He’s probably the best running quarterback I’ve seen. Like Mike Vick out there. I think his throwing ability is going to keep getting better,” said Nick Bosa in the video released by the NFL on the top 100 players list of 2023. This high praise from the 49ers star defensive end comes just days after the Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd bashed Fields and termed him as a bust over his failures in his first two seasons as the Bears quarterback.

Last season, Fields dominated the Gridiron with his legs as he rushed for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns. He became just the third quarterback in NFL history to rush for more than 1000 yards in a season. Despite his efforts, the Bears ended the season as the worst team in the NFL with an ugly 3-14 win-loss record.

Fields showed a lot of promising flashes in the 2022 season and was certainly an improved version of himself as compared to the 2021 season. The dual-threat QB still has to polish his passing game. If he can improve his passing game soon, the former first-round pick can certainly lead the Chicago-based football team to a Super Bowl in the near future.

The Chicago Bears fans thought they finally found a franchise quarterback when they drafted the Ohio State signal-caller Justin Fields in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

So far, Fields hasn’t proven his ability to lead an NFL franchise to a Super Bowl victory, let alone playoffs. However, the 24-year-old plans to amaze the fans by setting a franchise record in the upcoming season by becoming the first Bears QB to throw for more than 4000 yards.

“I plan on doing it this year, too. I plan on doing it this year,” Fields said during his recent appearance in the All Things Covered podcast when he was asked whether he will become the first Bears QB to register 4000-plus passing yards.

The Bears’ single-season passing yards record is 3,838 set by QB Erik Kramer in 1995. Fields threw for 2,242 yards in the 2022 season. With an improved offensive unit and if Fields can stay healthy for the entire season, he does have a shot at breaking the record this year itself.
