Nick Wright has almost become a fan of Caleb Willams. A few days back, the analyst said he felt that Williams would take the Chicago Bears team to a new high and would help them to crack the playoff problem.

Now, in the latest episode of the show ‘First Things First’, the analyst once again stood for Caleb Williams. He said that the hype around the college-level quarterback in the NFL is really low. Wright wants something more for a talent like Caleb Williams.

Somehow the hypes are too low. And, I can prove it to you bruh. He is the highest-regarded prospect to come out to school since Andrew Luck–What was the hype surrounding Andrew Luck? The Colts, without thinking much said ‘Peyton Manning, get the hell out of here.’ Two years of Peyton Manning winning the league MVP and going to the Super Bowl. They said, ‘We were moving on for this guy.’

Wright said

Wright recalled the example of 2012’s Draft pick No. 1 Andrew Luck, who had a similar kind of buzz around him as that of Caleb Williams. Luck had a great rookie season. In the Indianapolis Colts color, the former quarterback registered 4,374 passing yards, which is still a rookie record. Wright feels Williams has the capability to deliver such numbers, however, lacks the hype of Luck’s kind.

Caleb Williams’s case as Bears QB as one issue

It is more or less sealed that Caleb Williams is set to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. For the first time in history, the Bears may get a quarterback which might change their fate for good. Last season, Justin Fields failed to give the momentum to the Bears team.

However, Caleb Williams being the Chicago Bears’ main man has one issue. In his entire football career, he has mostly played in warm places. Hence, in the chilling weather of Chicago, the Heisman trophy-winning quarterback might face some bigger problems. This particular issue has been doing rounds on multiple platforms.

It is to be seen whether the quarterback manages to get over the obstacle or turns out another dud for the Chicago team. The analysts do not doubt his potential, but the weather concern surely is a real thing.
