The Kansas City Chiefs won back-to-back Super Bowls after defeating the San Francisco 49ers. In the post-game presentation, the Chiefs stars, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce claimed that they would go for more. Kelce openly expressed his dream of winning three consecutive Super Bowls like Michael Jordan did in the NBA.
If anyone is excited about the three consecutive Super Bowl rings apart from the Chiefs players, then he is Nick Wright. It is no secret that Wright is fond of Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City quarterback. He has spoken highly of Mahomes very often. He in fact predicted that the Chiefs would win the Super Bowl. Now, after the Chiefs were successful in their Super Bowl quest, the analyst has claimed that they have successfully created a dynasty in the Super Bowl.
Nick Wright said on First Things First:
The dynasty is locked. Now they are going for other types of legendary histories. But what they have done over the next five years is, quite simply the best five-year run in history in the NFL.Nick Wright on First Things First
The analyst also added that the Chiefs are a leading football team in a lot of departments in the NFL. Hence, he believed that the team had already created a dynasty and now they are looking forward to the next season. The Chiefs became the first team after the New England Patriots to win consecutive Super Bowls in the last two decades. If they manage to win in the next season then the team will be the first to register a three-peat.
The Chiefs’ defense made it for the team
The journey of the Kansas City Chiefs was a bit different this season than it used to be earlier. Usually, the Chiefs are known for their attacking abilities. However, this season was a bit different. The Chiefs’ offense witnessed struggles and the team suffered minor hiccups. Nonetheless, the defense stood by their name and did not let anyone score 30 points.
The biggest test of the defense came in the postseason when they faced the big teams on the road. But they removed all the roadblocks and kept everyone silent. In the Super Bowl too, the defense did not allow much space for the 49ers attackers.
With a perfect blend of attack with defense, the Chiefs will start the season as the ‘favorites,’ and will be aiming for a three-peat.
