Nick Wright is known for his fanboy-ism for Patrick Mahomes. However, the analyst was recently spotted praising Joe Burrow after the latter performed brilliantly against the San Francisco 49ers. In the recent episode of his show, ‘First Things First,’ Wright said that Joe Burrow‘s performance is the best among the quarterbacks.

I thought Joe Burrow might have had the best quarterback performance of the year, against that defense and that context where I felt the fringe must-win game for the Bengals. Burrow statistically played well. I thought he was sensational yesterday.

After a sluggish start to their NFL campaign, the Bengals have made a willful comeback in the league. They won three consecutive games in a row and after Week 8, they have a 4-3 record.

After suffering all the criticisms in the first half of the league, Joe Burrow is finally doing what he is capable of. The game against the Arizona Cardinals witnessed the best of him. He went for more than 300 yards and finished the game with three touchdowns.

The performance against the 49ers was also great. The QB covered 283 yards of passing and registered three touchdowns. He was pivotal in shaping the win for his team.

Is another comeback awaiting for the Bengals and Joe Burrow fans?

The Bengals have developed a habit of coming back from behind. They did it last season as well. After going down 0-2 in the first two games, they won 12 out of their 14 games and qualified for the playoffs in style. This comeback is still considered one of the best in NFL history.

This comeback (sort of) was also appreciated by his old Ohio State teammate and now rival Nick Bosa. The 49ers defensive weapon, after Sunday’s lost, had a funny praise for the Bengals signal caller.

Hell of a game, [but the loss] made our bye week trash, though--If anybody could do it, I’d want you to.

Now, after three back-to-back wins, many analysts are forecasting another story of ‘remontada’ for the Bengals. In the beginning, many people, including the Bengals fans, gave away their hopes for the playoffs. They lost three out of their four games. But now, as things are standing, the fans can hope for another playoff for their beloved team.
