“There is no competition,” Nick Wright sounds off WARNING bell for other franchises after Chiefs’ Super Bowl success

The Kansas City Chiefs are the World Champions for a third time in their franchise history. The Chiefs repeated their Super Bowl success against the NFC Champions, Philadelphia Eagles courtesy of a 38-35 victory on the iconic day.

However, the franchise wasn’t hailed as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year before the start of the season. They did not have a great offseason after losing star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins.

It had left a huge gap in their offensive gameplay, a role which many thought wouldn’t get fulfilled during this season. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid had other ideas and transformed themselves into one of the best by the end of the season.

Leading NFL analyst, Nick Wright hailed the Chiefs’ Super Bowl winning run, during which they secured the AFC West division. Speaking at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, Wright also warned the other franchises of the threat they will pose in the coming seasons.

Wright felt that despite their success, they were one of the worst in terms of the quality of their roster, as compared to their previous seasons.

“There is none. This year’s Chiefs team will be the worst Chiefs team until Travis Kelce retires. In 10 months’ time, Mahomes will be the 10th highest paid quarterback in football. There is no competition. They are on a different plane than every other different team. This was the year to get them,” Nick Wright said.

Winning the AFC West division ahead of the Raiders and the Broncos, was in itself an uphill task before the season, but the Chiefs finished with a 14-3 record in the regular season comfortably winning the division.
