Aaron Rodgers is regarded as one of the best QBs of this generation. The Packers QB has built a lasting legacy that can never be tarnished. However, it seems like his time with the Packers is done and maybe the veteran is looking for a change in scenery.
The New York Jets are strong contenders to take him in and there’s strong speculation that it’s just a matter of days until Rodgers joins the Jets to make them Super Bowl contenders again. The Jets have had a few rough seasons in the NFL and weren’t even able to make the playoffs this season. Their star QB Zach Wilson failed miserably and the Jets now need a central figure in their offense and Rodgers can offer that.
However, there are still certain analysts who doubt the Packers’ QB’s utility and believe that he won’t improve the team’s chances of winning the Super Bowl. NFL analyst Nick Wright believes that the Jets only have a 1% chance of winning the Super Bowl even after signing the great Aaron Rodgers. Wright believes that the Chiefs are the strongest to win the Super Bowl next season with the Bengals coming in second.
According to Wright, the only reason that the Jets are even considered Super Bowl favorites is that they might sign Rodgers. Regardless, it won’t be enough and the maximum they will go in the playoffs is the second round. These were astounding claims by Nick Wright that drew many eyebrows in the room.
Aaron Rodgers can offer great utility to the New York Jets
The Jets have a great starting roster that includes the defensive Rookie of the Year and the offensive Rookie of the Year. The New York-based team has a great all-round squad and has the potential to even challenge for the playoffs, if not the Super Bowl.
They only need a talented QB who is better than the great Aaron Rodgers, who is currently playing with a chip on his shoulders. Rodgers was privy to massive criticism last season and will look to answer all his critics who have disregarded him and believe he is way out of his prime.
The Packers QB possesses great skill on the ball and has loads of experience playing on the top level. Knowingly, Rodgers can add lots of utility to the struggling Jets side and can even challenge in the playoffs while winning his division.
