“Can’t catch a break”: Chicago Bears WR N’Keal Harry suffers a SERIOUS ankle injury and could be out for the 2022 NFL season

N'Keal Harry

The Chicago Bears usually tend to suffer setbacks once the NFL season starts as the team scrambles to win games, however, this time, lady luck seems to have left them earlier than usual as the team suffered a blow as wide receiver N’Keal Harry went down with an ankle related injury at the team’s practice as per NFL Media. The team stated that he will be examined by a specialist to determine the damage and to get an estimated timeline for his return.

N’Keal Harry landed in Chicago just a month ago after he was traded by the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick which seemed underwhelming. He was originally drafted by the Pats in 2019 in the first round. The former Arizona State alumnus was dubbed to be one of the top wideouts in that year’s draft class but once he made it into the league, we have not seen him live up to the hype.

N’Keal Harry has sustained an ankle injury

N’Keal Harry has played a total of 33 games in the league with 57 receptions for 598 yards and 4 TDs. He seems to be rather injury prone as he has sustained multiple injuries in just three seasons and Bill Belichick seemed to have seen enough as he decided to trade him this offseason.

The wide receiver has sustained a rather severe injury which is not good news for the already shorthanded Chicago Bears who look are trying to be the underdogs of the NFL with Justin Fields entering his second season.

Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus did not speak to reporters following the injury, Harry’s high-ankle injury could leave him on the sideline for at least six weeks, he is still undergoing a detailed evaluation and we hope for the best, however, his injury does deal a blow to the Bears and Harry himself as he was looking to have a redemption season this year.
