Rick Stroud on Tom Brady and Bruce Arians

It has been contemplated many a times that Tom Brady’s return triggered the retirement of long standing Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians. A lot of rumours were spread about how the two didn’t see eye to eye and this meant Bruce Arians had to go.

However this has been cleared up by both Tom Brady as well as Bruce Arians that it was not the case and Arians stepping down was totally an independent choice. In fact recently Bruce Arians has also revealed that Tom Brady gifted him a $50k watch as a retirement gift.

However Rick Stroud did add that knowing Tom Brady and the tactics that he would have liked to deploy, he would find it more comfortable under new coach Todd Bowles as compared to Bruce Arians.

“I will tell you what I do know. This idea that him [Tom Brady] and Bruce Arians had a soured on each other, I don’t think that’s true. Um I don’t think he ordered the Code Red so to speak on Bruce Arians!“,he said.

It would be sort of sociopathic to come to the guy’s execution when he’s stood up and handed the baton to Todd Bowles. Now would Brady have suggested when he was mulling over whether to play or not, it had to be Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I have to do this , this and this and knowing that maybe that’s what Arians would want to do. I do think and I wrote about this, there would be a much more better feeling or comfort for Tom Brady under a guy like Todd Bowles.”
