“Not losing this game today,” Aaron Rodgers VOWED to win the game for Packers at 24-17

Aaron Rodgers on the win against the Patriots

Aaron Rodgers did what he does. One of the greatest Quarterbacks in the game Rodgers led the Packers to a come-from-behind win against a depleted New England Patriots led by rookie Quarterback Bailey Zappe.

At one point of the game, the Green Bay Packers were down 24-17 against a New England Patriots team that lost its starting quarterback Mac Jones to a high ankle stain last week and lost their 1st choice backup, Bryan Hoyer, in the first half. All of which resulted in an almost unknown rookie drafted with the 137th pick to take his place under center and he did well enough. The game went into overtime but the Packers fought it out to get the W.

“Ugly 1st half, a little bit better in the 2nd half.” Aaron Rodgers after a gritty win over the Patriots

Aaron Rodgers joined the elite 500 Touchdown club during a game where he did not look the best version of himself and neither did his Packers but a win is a win and Rodgers acknowledges the team’s shortcomings.

He said-“Ugly 1st hall and a little bit better in the 2nd half. There was a time there 24-17 where we just said: ‘We’re not losing this game today.’ We’re gonna figure out a way.”

Figure out a way they did.

The Packers have a 3-1 record but despite the 3 wins they don’t instill much confidence as all their games were gritty and Rodgers knows that-“We have a lot of grit. It’s not been pretty for four weeks.”

Now the Packers have a trip to London to look forward to and Rodgers didn’t seem too happy about what the next few weeks had in store for them.

This is the most important physical stretch of our season. We’re going on a long trip to London, not having a bye afterward, coming back and playing a home game. We’re gonna take care of business have a good week, hopefully, get some rest somehow, get acclimated somehow.”

The Packers will now travel to London to face the 3-1 New York Giants, another team that has been churning out wins somehow.
