O.J. Simpson believes Dalvin Cook’s $8,600,000 trade to the Jets has made winning the AFC East ‘more difficult’ for Josh Allen’s Bills
The Jets recently signed running back Dalvin Cook to a 1-year deal worth up to $8.6 million.

Just a few days ago, the New York Jets made a massive move by signing the star running back Dalvin Cook to a one-year deal in free agency. Cook will be a massive asset for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets in the offensive backfield. Amidst this, the controversial ex-Buffalo Bills RB O.J. Simpson has shared his two cents about the Jets adding Cook. He believes the Jets’ move will make it harder for Josh Allen and the Bills to clinch the AFC East division.
“Well, yesterday wasn’t the happiest day for me, a Buffalo Bills fan,” said O.J. Simpson in a video he posted on the social media platform X, a day after Cook signed his one-year deal with the Jets.
Simpson said that the 4-time Pro Bowler Cook going to the Jets is really going to help them even though they already have some of the top talents in the running back position.
The former Bills RB also expressed his relief over the Miami Dolphins not signing Cook. Simpson believes Miami would’ve become a Super Bowl contender if they had added Cook to their loaded team. Still, Simpson said that both the Jets and the Dolphins have improved a lot in the off-season which will make it harder for Josh Allen and the Bills to win the division for the 4th consecutive year.
“The Bills come down to Von Miller,” said Simpson. “When you look at Rodgers and Tua, you need somebody to get after those guys and the Bills defense relies heavily on Von Miller. If Von doesn’t play, doesn’t get double-digit sacks, I think my Bills might be in trouble considering how much the Jets and Miami have improved.”

Josh Allen and the Bills look to win the AFC East for the 4th straight season

Ever since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots back in the 2020 off-season, Josh Allen and the Bills took over the AFC East and have clinched the division for the last three seasons.
But now, the other teams have caught up, the Dolphins and the Jets have made significant changes in their roster and have improved a lot in the last few seasons. The Jets have notably added the 4-time league MVP QB Aaron Rodgers and star RB Dalvin Cook in the 2023 NFL off-season.
And one can never rule out the veteran head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots. So, with 4 strong teams going against each other, it will be an all-out rumble in the AFC East.
