Odell Beckham Jr. finally found a team to play for in 2023 after being a free agent for over a year. The Baltimore Ravens signed a one-year contract worth up to $18 million with the former first-round pick.
Just a few days after inking a brand new deal, Beckham found himself in trouble off the field. The superstar wideout was named by a woman in an incident where he grabbed her by the neck at an L.A. hotspot.
As reported by TMZ Sports, the alleged incident happened at Delilah several weeks back before OBJ was a Raven. The police met with the woman and she filed a report detailing the entire incident. The reps for OBJ straightaway denied any wrongdoing on the receiver’s part.
TMZ Sports reached out to the owner of Delilah John Terzian who said, “We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos. The claim is false. There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred.”
There seems to be no evidence against Odell Beckham Jr. by the accused who came forward only after the star signed a lucrative contract with the Ravens. The police will roll out any new evidence that comes to light in their investigation of the matter.

Odell Beckham Jr. to make up to $3 million in incentives

While OBJ might have got himself into a new controversy, on-field he is looking all sorted. On April 9, 2023, Odell Beckham Jr. signed a one-year $15 million contract with the Ravens. He received a $13.8 million signing bonus and the rest $3 million is tied in incentives.

Odell Beckham Jr. was one of the best receivers in the league in his prime but with injuries following him around like a hellhound, some analysts believe there may be a drop in production from the veteran receiver.
OBJ played the role perfectly during his time on the 2021 Los Angeles Rams who won the Super Bowl. While teams would double down on Cooper Kupp, Beckham used to make those crucial first downs and the occasional touchdowns.
Now, with $3 million in incentives, this might give OBJ the extra push to be the best wide receiver on the Ravens roster in 2023. Another important thing to note down is whether Lamar Jackson will be the quarterback or not because that will have a direct impact on Beckham’s performance as well.
