After a year of staying away and the majority of the free agency passing by, Odell Beckham Jr. has finally found a team for the 2023 season. On April 9, 2023, the star wide receiver signed with the Baltimore Ravens. It is a one-year deal worth $18 million.
During his introductory press conference as a Raven on Thursday, OBJ talked about the knee injuries plaguing his career. He missed the 2020 season due to a knee injury and had undergone an ACL replacement surgery.
After signing with the Rams midseason in 2021, Dr. Neal ElAttrache told him that he had no ACL despite having surgery done. Beckham revealed that he played the remainder of the season with no ACL.
The knee worked just fine until the second half of Super Bowl LVI when OBJ aggravated his knee once again. The 30-year-old wideout had a good season with an ACL as he scored 305 yards for five touchdowns in the regular season and 288 yards for two touchdowns in the postseason.

Odell Beckham Jr. optimistic about Lamar Jackson being QB1 for the Ravens
Odell Beckham Jr. partied with Lamar Jackson in Miami after signing with the Ravens. During his introductory press conference, OBJ said he would love for Jackson to throw him passes and touchdowns in 2023 but never got a definite answer from the 2019 NFL MVP.
“Didn’t get any assurances for anything, you know life’s uncertain,” Beckham said. “I think that we don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, or the next day. We only know what’s happened in the past. My thoughts would be that he would be here. I know that these two (Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh) want him to be here, and at the end of the day, that’s going to be up to them.”
Odell Beckham Jr’s net worth is around $50 million and he will be a force to reckon with in 2023 if Lamar Jackson is the one throwing him the football. The duo will be a nightmare for defenses if Jackson decided to play on the franchise tag.
Now that OBJ’s future has been decided, Jackson is still waiting on an update on his contract. The 26-year-old quarterback rejected the Ravens’ $133 fully guaranteed deal last September and is now looking for a deal that isn’t fully guaranteed, but the guaranteed portion of the contract has to be greater than $230 million.
Lamar Jackson revealed he asked the Ravens for a trade on March 2nd and yet no team has shown any interest in signing the superstar quarterback. Let’s see what the future holds in store for Jackson!
