The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals matchup is a clash between two of the best AFC teams in the NFL. With stars on both teams, this game can prove to be an early indication of which team will have the upper hand in its division. The Bengals are coming of a demoralizing defeat against the Cleveland Browns in their week 1 game. The Ravens on the other hand won their first game comfortably against the Houston Texans.
Ravens’ WR Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most naturally gifted players in the league. He signed with the Ravens this offseason after winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and spent his 2022 season recovering from an ACL injury he suffered during the Super Bowl. Beckham will hope to win another ring with the Ravens and that bid began with a win in week 1.
Before the game on Sunday against the Bengals, Beckham Jr. came out sporting a Travis Hunter shirt and Randy Moss cleats for the pregame warmup in Cincinnati. Hunter has taken the football world by storm with his two-way play in college for the Colorado Buffaloes, coached by former NFL player Deion Sanders. He was taken out of the Buffs’ game against the CSU after he received a cheap shot from CSU player Henry Blackburn. Beckham Jr. came out wearing a Travis Hunter shirt presumably in support of the star player.
Beckham Jr. caught only two passes for 37 yards in the Ravens’ week 1 against the Texans. He will hope to create more impact on Sunday against the Bengals who are thin in the secondary after losing some key pieces in this offseason. It will fascinating to see who comes out on top in this exciting matchup and how much of a difference OBJ makes.

Odell Beckham Jr. feels there is room for improvement after a ‘sloppy’ week 1 victory
The Baltimore Ravens won their first game of the 2023 NFL season in rather convincing fashion, demolishing the Houston Texans 25-9. The score line might suggest that it was a dominating win, but in reality, the Ravens’ offense was a bit rigid and clunky throughout the game.
Odell Beckham Jr., the Ravens’ WR, said that there is a lot of room for improvement after the game. “I feel like we had a good first, sloppy game, and you still put up 25 points,” he said. “So, the bad thing is there were a lot of mistakes, a lot of miscommunications, a lot of those things; the good news is there is room for improvement.”
Beckham Jr. signed with the Ravens earlier this offseason. He is coming back from an ACL injury that saw him miss the entire 2022 NFL season after winning the Super Bowl in 2021 with the Los Angeles Rams. He had a slow start with the new offensive scheme in week 1, catching only 2 passes for 37 yards. He will hope to have a much bigger impact against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
