“How many voices have to be heard to get SH*T changed!”: Odell Beckham Jr. shares a passionate and heartfelt message after the Texas shootings

The recent shootings in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas have left the entire world in a state of tragedy. A gunman opened fire and killed 19 children and two adults before injuring others, this act was condemned by personalities from all walks of life, America has witnessed a lot of shootings in the past year and the fact that schools are the primary target makes it all the more disturbing.
The recent shootings have not just been another headline in the papers for many, for members of the Dallas Cowboys, this shooting made them self reflect on their choices, some of them had kids and immediately reached out to ensure that they were safe while some players like Dak Prescott stated that he does not have kids and is scared to have one due to such instances. Odell Beckham Jr. shares the same concerns and why would he not, the LA Rams wideout was recently blessed with the privilege of becoming a father, so we can only expect the impact that such an incident had on him.
“Life’s just so damn short”: Odell Beckham Jr. is grateful for every day following the Uvalde shootings

It is human nature to contemplate life in general once you come across any sort of tragic event that has happened to your well-wishers or any incident that is of horrific nature. The recent shootings had us all worried about our loved ones and made us enjoy and appreciate every day we wake up safe and sound more than ever.
Odell Beckham Jr. had a lot to say about these shootings, he is very passionate about this topic and believes it is high time for a change, for how long will things remain the same, for how long will this be a cycle that repeats itself? Today we condone the act, take the bare minimum steps, and maybe a month from now another shooting happens which leads us back into the same cycle.
“Reading the details of what went on, just makes me sick to my stomach, how do we get things changed? HOW MANY VOICES HAVE TO BE HEARD TO GET SH*T CHANGED!” Beckham said. One of the more disturbing incidents that happened during the shootings was that the police refused to enter the premises for nearly 48 minutes after knowing that there was an active shooter. One of the students who was stuck on the premises of Robb elementary smeared blood from her dead friend and lay down pretending to be dead so that she could avoid being shot at.
Such details make you wonder why and the fact that there is no solution in sight makes it worse, OBJ added, “Give extra love to the ones we love today, Life’s just so damn short! Prayers up for the families suffering in these times. Truly Heartbreaking.”
It is unfortunate that things turned out the way that they did, we at FirstSportz hope that the situation improves and we stand in solidarity with the families of the victims of the shooting.
