The former Buffalo Bills running back, O.J. Simpson, is one of the best players ever to have played in the league. However, he is known more for his legal troubles than his football talents. Still, he is one of the most popular figures in the country. He is currently spending his time playing golf and appearing on podcasts to talk about sports and other things.
Amidst this, a new report from Miami’s Local 10 news suggests the ex-NFL running back is facing some medical issues. Simpson, who is now living in a gated community in Vegas, has been allegedly diagnosed with prostate cancer and is getting chemotherapy treatment for it.
Previously, Simpson had announced in a video that he beat cancer a few years ago. It is unclear whether this new report is related to that one. Recently, the former running back was spotted in Vegas looking frail in photos acquired by The New York Post.
Nonetheless, the 76-year-old recently posted a video on his X profile, where he addressed the cancer report. In the video, Simpson denied the reports that he is sick and revealed that he is going to be hosting a Super Bowl party with his friends in Vegas.
No, I’m not in any hospice, I don’t know who put that out there. Whoever put that out there, it’s like the Donald [Trump] say: can’t trust the media. In any event, I’m hosting a ton of friends for the Super Bowl here in Las Vegas. All is well. Take care, have a good Super Bowl Weekend.O.J. Simpson said in the video
So, contradictory to the reports, Simpson is doing well and is seemingly excited about the Super Bowl LVIII game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.
Social media reacts to reports about O.J. Simpson’s prostate cancer
NFL fans on social media had wild and insensitive reactions about O.J. Simpson getting treatment for prostate cancer. The ex-Bills running back has already denied the reports about being sick.
Fans believe karma has finally gotten back to Simpson, who was accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman. Simpson was acquitted of those crimes but later was arrested and served nine years in person for different crimes.
Nonetheless, Simpson is seemingly doing okay for a 76-year-old former NFL player. He is active on social media and also appears on the “It Is What It Is” podcast with rappers Cam’Ron and Mase. He is a weekly guest on that podcast and cracks a lot of awkward jokes.
