Summer is the favorite time of the year for nearly everyone. It’s a time to chill, unwind, and hit the beach to show off that beach bod that people have worked hard to build. For athletes and models, summer runs 365 days a year as they are required to walk around with a fit and athletic body throughout the year. However, as summer rolls around, they need to be a bit more on point with their fitness levels. Especially for the female stars who grace the cover of prominent magazines.

Sports Illustrated’s annual summer ritual is their Swimsuit Edition. It is one of the most anticipated editions of their magazine as it features the most gorgeous models, celebrities, and actresses. They pose in breathtaking swimsuits at the most exotic locations that one can find. This year, SI has gone with Brooks Nader, Kim Petras, Martha Steward (yes, you read that right. That was not a typo.), and Megan Fox as their cover models.

Prominent LSU gymnasts Olivia Dunne and Angel Reese made history this time by being the only 2 NCAA athletes to be featured on their magazine. Christen Harper, the wife of Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff was another notable feature in SI’s 2023 Swimsuit Edition. This was not her first rodeo as an SI model as she has been featured in previous iterations of the magazine as well.

Olivia Dunne has a massive fan following amongst masses. Christen Harper is a prominent model and actress who has been featured in movies such as Seven Eleven, Auggie, and The Obituary of Tunde Johnson. Harper was also seen in one of the episodes of HBO’s Hard Knocks when the series was filming the Detroit Lions. The two stars were spotted in Hollywood, Florida, to commemorate the release of the latest edition of SI’s Swimsuit Edition.

The event saw the models partake in a yoga session wherein the LSU star Olivia wore a light blue workout outfit that perfectly wrapped around her athletic build. Harper on the other hand decided to go all black and sported a black athletic top with matching tights. The SI models have been constantly touring to promote the magazine, they were seen at the Hard Rock Hotel in Manhattan, New York for a launch party.

This is Olivia Dunne’s first appearance on SI’s Swimsuit Edition. The top gymnast described this opportunity as “a dream come true.” She believes that her actions are inspiring younger girls as “There are a lot of young girls that look up to me and I feel like a lot of young girls also follow Sports Illustrated.” Olivia and Angel Reese are athletes who are making the most out of the NCAA’s NIL deal policy. She is the highest-paid student-athlete in the country.

The SI event also had Camille Kostek, the girlfriend of future Hall of Fame Tight End Rob Gronkowski. Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition featuring Olivia Dunne and Christen Harper was released on the 12th of May.
