The Cincinnati Bengals players keep giving bulletin-board material to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. A few days ago, the Bengal wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase trolled Mahomes while crowning Joe Burrow as the best player in the league. And now, offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. seemingly takes a shot at the Chiefs QB.
Speaking on the ESPN show NFL Live, the former Chiefs OT Orlando Brown Jr, who recently signed with the Bengals in the 2023 off-season, claimed, “Now, as opposed to having to play in a lot more space with guys on my edge, guys have got to rush through me because Joe isn’t necessarily at 12-1/2 or 13 yards on certain drops. He’s going to be at 7-1/2 getting the ball out.”
Brown’s message has created a ruckus on social media. A lot of people believe the offensive tackle is subtly dissing his former teammate Patrick Mahomes. The offensive tackle implies that Brown wouldn’t have to cover a lot of space a lot since Joe Burrow will be playing from the pocket as opposed to Mahomes, who is known to scramble a lot.
The Bengals surprised a lot of people by signing offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. to a massive 4-year deal worth up to $64.1 million. Brown spent the last two years in Kansas City and won a Super Bowl ring with them in 2022. He is one of the best left tackles in the league right now, and he will be a massive upgrade in the Bengals’ offensive line, which desperately needed a change.

Social media reacts to Orlando Brown Jr’s subtle shot at Patrick Mahomes
The Bengals offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr. got bashed on social media for his subtle shot at the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. Brown implied that he could play better behind the pocket passer Joe Burrow as opposed to Mahomes, who is known to scramble a lot. That comment didn’t sit well with fans on social media. Check out some of the reactions below!
Just a few days ago, Ja’Marr Chase did a similar thing when he crowned Burrow as the best player in the NFL and disrespected the 2-time Super Bowl MVP Mahomes. Even the Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce addressed Chase’s comments and issued a warning to stop disrespecting the Chiefs quarterback.
Nonetheless, this off-season has created a lot of tense moments between the Chiefs and the Bengals. It has added fuel to their intense rivalry. Their matchup in the upcoming season will surely be entertaining.
