The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game on Sunday became the first postseason game in NFL history to be broadcasted live on a streaming platform. NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, became part of NFL history when it aired the Wild Card game on Sunday. It was a strange experience for NFL fans to watch a playoff game on a streaming platform for the very first time.

The NFL made a risky decision by scheduling a game as one of the most anticipated matchups of the whole weekend in addition to airing it exclusively on a streaming service. Most fans were upset prior to the game after the announcement that the streaming platform will air the game on Sunday. However, the product wasn’t better and fans were left seething after the game as well.

A lot of fans were unhappy with the quality of the video and the noise of the stream. The streams did not appear to be aligned across locations, and the background noise was not any better. Even though this intense cold may be causing some teething issues, playoff performance is expected to be better.
