Biggest upset for the Philadelphia Eagles. In some shocking turn of events, the team lost by a margin of 20-14 against the New York Jets which registered their third victory in the league. After the match, the netizens targeted the Eagles player and it was Jalen Hurts who was targeted the most. Hurts, on Twitter got schooled as he had made some unforgivable mistakes that led him to gulp the major criticizm.

There is hardly any doubt that Hurts is one of the finest quarterbacks in the league. This offseason, he signed a lucrative deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal includes $255 million for five years. The contract also had a clause of full guaranteed money of $110 million at the point of signing and $179 was guaranteed in any case of injury. While signing the mammoth deal, it was expected that Jalen would provide his best for the team. However, after the match against the Jets, fans started raising fingers at his contract by claiming him ‘overpaid.’ Twitter got flooded with negative reactions, trolls and banter.

But what was his mistake? The answer is three interceptions. The player was intercepted thrice and failed to register any serious attacking threat for the Eagles. The trolls were about to come, hence. Hurts had one touchdown and three interceptions and those interceptions hit the Eagles massively as the Jets capitalized on those opportunities. Overall, Jalen covered 280 passing yards with a rating of just 59.3.

The New York Jets, on the other hand, finally found some momentum. It was the second consecutive win for him and it came at the right moment and the right time. The victory would save their playoff dream. Zach Wilson had an effective game. Despite not being too good on the field, he secured success for the Jets’ side.
