The Green Bay Packers have lost a lot of key players this offseason, starting with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He signed with the New York Jets this offseason. Another Packer who signed with the New York-based team is Allen Lazard. There were rumors that the next Packer to sign with the Jets will be the three-time pro bowler David Bakhtiari. However, these rumors were squashed by the Packers GM Brian Gutekunst.

“First of all, we’re not gonna trade David, so let’s just get that out of the way,” Gutekunst said in an interview. The rumors picked up steam after Rodgers posted a cryptic post on Instagram, seemingly recruiting his former teammate from Green Bay. The Jets have already signed Rodgers’ ex-Packers teammates Randall Cobb and Lazard.

The Jets are the subject of the latest edition of Hard Knocks. Their head coach, Robert Saleh, ripped the offensive line in the latest edition of the show, leading to some whispers about the Jets acquiring the two-time pro bowl LT from Green Bay.

The Packers will do everything in their power to make sure that Bakhtiari starts for them in week 1 against the Chicago Bears on September 10.

Aaron Rodgers’ new o-line in New York has struggled in training camp with consistency and injuries. There are question marks on who will be protecting Aaron Rodgers against the Buffalo Bills come week 1 in September.

Rodgers claims he has no concerns about his o-line and there is enough time for them to get it sorted. In the latest edition of Hard Knocks, head coach Robert Saleh ripped into his o-line. There might not be any concerns right now, but if the o-line fails to figure the problems out, it will be a long season for Rodgers and the New York Jets.

The Jets play their first game against the Bills in the MetLife Stadium on September 12. They will hope to get the offense department sorted by then. The Jets play their remaining preseason games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants.
