“Sometimes the truth hurts,” Packers HC Matt LaFleur fuels controversy surrounding Aaron Rodgers after QB’s honest admission on teammates

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is a man, who is going through a tough time at the moment as the Packers have started to falter. The NFC North franchise has a 3-4 record currently and is winless in their last three matches.
Aaron Rodgers has failed to perform at the level that he has done over the years, and even the wide receivers have been below par. The veteran quarterback had shown signs that he wasn’t happy with the O-Line right during the preseason games, and that has only intensified over the regular season games.
Matt LaFleur defended his quarterback despite the criticisms he gave to his wide receivers

Aaron Rodgers called out his young wide receivers for their lack of performances during the preseason publicly. To add to the Packers’ troubles, the quarterback continued this trend even after their recent defeat against the Washington Commanders during his appearance on the Pat McAfee show.
He even urged Matt LaFleur to simplify his offensive plays, so that the wide receivers are able to perform well. This sparked widespread criticism of the quarterback for making his comments in public.

“I think that, you know, we have to be truthful with one another, and sometimes the truth hurts,” LaFleur told reporters as reported by ProFootballTalk. “And it’s no different than when your kids make a mistake, right? You tell them about it. And you make sure that — I don’t think he publicly called out individuals, I don’t believe.
“I didn’t sit there and listen to the whole thing. So I just think you have to get to the root of the truth. And that gives you an opportunity to learn and grow. And we can’t run away from that, ever. And no different than when we’re in those team meetings. You always call it how it is. And I don’t think anybody’s off limits, starting with myself.”
